UK: In the courts: Andover father fined after paedophile confrontation

[andoveradvertiser.co.uk – 3/26/21]

A man who confronted a convicted child sex offender in Andover has been handed a fine after he did not complete community service.

As previously reported by The Advertiser, Matthew Jamie Doyle was given a community order after he tried to ‘expose’ the convicted paedophile in June 2019, with a requirement to complete unpaid work.

The Advertiser reported at the time how Doyle feared he would be in prison at Christmas and also miss his son’s birthday.

“I am going to be in jail for Christmas and my son’s birthday, and yet this paedophile has only ever been sent down for ten days,” he said at the time.

The court heard in 2019 how Doyle went to the offender’s house – which has multiple occupants – to confront him, filming the incident whilst knocking on the door and calling the man out, asking other residents if they knew the man’s history and whether they thought it was acceptable.

He admitted that he called the man a “f***ing paedophile” on multiple occasions as well as saying “your life is going to be a misery here, especially with me as your neighbour”.

“I went over with the intent to raise awareness and I was a passionate parent doing what any parent would,” Doyle told the Advertiser.

“It’s my duty. It wasn’t a choice I made; it was a duty as a parent.”

Mr tough guy it would of been funny if the story read the occupants in the home came out and beat his ass for trust passing on private property I bet he wouldn’t show up over there again with all that drama

Good luck

“It’s my duty. It wasn’t a choice I made; it was a duty as a parent.”

His duty as a parent is to threaten someone who did not show any attempted harm to him or his child/s but to show his child/s how they should treat people that have done absolutely nothing to them.

Right!! – Nice example to set for your child/s you idiot!! Teach your child to hate first and then don’t even bother to ask questions later!! I guess this guy thinks he is “Mr. Perfect” in all respects as a person and now a “Hero” in his neighbor’s eyes.
